Heritage Overlay Projects
Toorak House

This dwelling had been in the same family for two generations and vacant for a number of decades. It had become largely uninhabitable before the current owner decided to renovate with a view to putting the dwelling on the market. A special buildings overlay imposed significant restraints on the allowable development. The project brief was to return the existing dwelling to its former Victorian period style and extend the rear of the house to provide a contemporary and open plan family home which maximised access the northern sun.
